Condensation Issues

Ever have little droplets of water form on your skylight, only to run down and drip on your floor? Or maybe ever time you look up you see water on your skylight?

Little droplets of water; drip, drip, drip…

Acrylic dome condensationThis is water condensing on the bottom of your skylight and is usually caused by a very energy inefficient skylight. Condensation occurs when warm air rises, cools and looses its capacity to hold water vapor. As a result, excess water vapor condenses to form water droplets.

The easiest way to remedy the issues is to replace the old skylight with a more efficient and insulated skylight. This can be relatively inexpensive, with a simple curb mount skylight replacement. It can also save you money, by reducing your heating and cooling bills.

More efficient, less problems… no brainer.
