| Skylights can be installed on a low pitched roof successfully | You have a couple of different options if your roof is low-pitched and you wish to install a skylight. - Install a bubble or domed skylight onto a curb that is at least nine inches high. The dome shape will "shed" water and dirt off the skylight and it will not leak.
- Install a Velux onto a slanted curb that holds the skylight at a 3/12 pitch or better. This helps the dirt runoff the glass and keeps it from leaking.
