Translucent Vertical Lighting

This commercial project was an interesting one. The architect, Davis Design had an idea of providing as much light transmittance as possible while having as little as possible glare. The wall lite ran the distance of the building and the elevations varied tremendously.  The product they chose to use was 16 mm ice-white polycarbonate panel wall lite system manufactured by CPI Daylighting. In the interest of time and changing site conditions, Skylight Specialists had the manufacturer send the stock and we fabricated in the field. The custom on-site fabrication challenges were over come by our top notch install crew led by David Kildow. The architect and owner were pleased on the final walk thru. The design and unique look to the exterior of the building was exactly what they both were looking for. Additionally the smooth, soft white light that the polycarbonate lets in adds light without the glare benefiting the students, teachers and visitors for years to come.
