| An example of two different types of collectors and why Velux Collectors are so much more desirable |   One of the great features that Velux has incorporated into their solar panel design is the deck mount system. These flat-plate collector panels are integrated with the roof deck and appear similar to a skylight. Also, the panels can actually integrate with Velux Skylights in a cluster. Note the old-style collector in the first picture, that is mounted above the roof and which shows exposed pipes. The second picture shows the Velux Collector that has roofing installed around it and all pipes are hidden. | | |
