Colorado Solar Domestic Hot Water Rebates

Governor's Energy Office announces the GEO Residential Solar Program with rebates intended to advance this cost-effective and underutilized water heating technology

The Governor's Energy Office annouced the launching of the Residential Solar Program, in response to the growing demand of homeowners to reduce their carbon footprint, participate in the New Energy Economy, and take advantage of Colorado's abundant solar resources.

This program creates a Solar Domestic Hot Water Rebate Program in Colorado, advancing this cost effective and underutilized technology. CoSEIA will administer the program with eleven partners, (representing utilities, municipalities and non-profits) selected by the GEO to promote the installation of solar water heating systems statewide. The 11 partners expect to install approximately 250 systems, with individual homeowner rebates ranging from $1,500. to $3,000. This is in addition to the current Federal $2,000. Tax Rebate.

You can learn how to apply these rebates to the Velux Solar Water Heating System by contacting your certified solar installers at Skylight Specialists Inc.
