PRIMARY BENEFICIARIES

COLORADO YOUTH AT RISK: Colorado Youth at Risk empowers teenage students to make life choices that positively impact their future through community-based mentoring and intensive training. Colorado Youth at Risk aims to reduce the number of high school dropouts, match students with an adult mentor and provide students with a sense of the future and their place in that future. As Colorado Youth at Risk works to fulfill its mission, the following core principles guide all program activities and apply equally to staff, board, mentors and youth participants: integrity, commitment, respect, teamwork, potentiality and responsibility.

THE DENVER TECH CENTER ROTARY FOUNDATION: The foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of children throughout the world. Current projects in the Dominican Republic include providing clean water to hundreds of families, funding vocational education for deaf students, funding school meals for malnourished children, a new printer for the Santa Maria Radio School and latrines and hand-washing stations in the village schools of Kayafungo, Kenya.  In Colorado, the Foundation funds the lunch and learn program providing school lunches to students and vaccinations for underprivileged children through the Shots for Tots program and an annual scholarship for an outstanding member of the Rotary Interact Club at Thomas Jefferson High School.
