| How to know whether your skylight needs replaced or repaired | We have a client that manages malls all over the country. Recently, they asked us for a quote to replace their relatively small glass skylight. We recommended that they repair this particular skylight, that it needed new glass units and a reseal, but that overall the skylight was in good shape.
The client is so gun-shy, so to speak, of skylights that they want nothing to do with the repair, only are interested in the replacement. So, they will end up paying double so that they have the comfort of a longer warranty.
And that is fine. We don't mind doing a replacement but this blog post is to let you know that some skylights are repairable and will last just as long as new replacement skylights. | | |
