<p>In political poll after poll, the American public has expressed the desire for a sustainable energy future based on renewable resourcesand efficiency.</p><p>Despite the Energy Policy rhetoric at the recent Democratic National Convention&nbsp;(DNC) here in Denver, the current&nbsp;Federal Investment Tax Credit for solar water&nbsp;heating systems is still set to expire at the end of 2008.</p><p>We will probably hear similar political speeches from the Republican&nbsp;National Convention (RNC) on energy incentives. The actual candidate' s and Party positions can be reviewed at <a href="http://www.votesmart.org/">www.votesmart.org</a>.</p><p>However the reality is that Congress has left for summer recess without extending or increasing the incentives for taxpaying homeowners to obtain credits for renewable energy investments.
